What to Expect
Once you have booked your appointment, we will have a discussion over the phone about your goals for the photoshoot. What mood/look/feel do you want your headshots to convey? What roles do you want? What clothing choices would be best suited to achieve those looks? Should we hire a makeup person for your shoot? We can discuss anything else that's on your mind.
When you arrive, you'll have the option of a relaxing champagne, beer, juice, water or soda. We'll chat briefly and revisit the things we had discussed over the phone. If we hired makeup, we will start that as well. Once you're feeling ready, we'll start shooting our first look for 20-30 min. After I've found the sweet spot and feel like we've made some great images, I'll show you on the back of the camera to be sure you agree. At this point we can make changes to clothing or makeup. After an hour, we will download the images for inspection. We will discuss what is working or what isn't. Then you will change into your next look and we repeat the process.
After we've made great images, I will send you on your merry way. When you get home later, there will be an email from me with a private link to a gallery of all your photos. You can look at these at your leisure, share with friends, agent or manager, etc. You will choose two images for me to touch up (and everybody needs touch ups). I will burn a DVD with all the original files along with your finished files. The final files will also include various sizes and file formats for either printing, emailing or posting on Facebook. Then I'll drop the disc into the mail.
And that, my friend, is it.

Bio
I have been a celebrity photographer and portraitist for ten years. I got my start working for the lengendary Patrick McMullan and am currently a staff photographer at the imaging powerhouse, Getty Images. My photos have appeared in countless publications, including Vanity Fair, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, the NY Times, Glamour, People, US Weekly, Newsweek, TIME, Rolling Stone, Marie Claire, GQ, Harper's BAZAAR, In Touch, Entertainment Weekly, Variety, New York Magazine, and in numberous online subscriptions and blogs. Most people I work with agree that I have a genuine, amiable style that puts them at ease. I love the process of making a great portrait, but I have no ego about it - this photo is for YOU. I delight in collaborating with people so that they're excited about their photos. When you're mailing headshots out to castings, you've got to be excited. If you're not, then you're not going to rush to mail them. If you're not mailing them, you're not getting auditions. We don't want that.
In another life I graduated from Pacific University with a degree in Creative Writing and Photography. I joined the Peace Corps and served in Poland for two years. I then joined BuildOn and built schools in villages in Bolivia and Nepal for two more years. I finally moved to NYC and proceeded to bartend, act and eventually settle into my career as a photographer. I couldn't be happier.
I look forward to working with you soon! Don't be afraid to contact me with any thoughts, questions or jokes.
Peace,
Andrew
